Enoch Teaching

Lamech The Despairing
Noah Rest or comfort

Some have suggested that the meanings of the first ten recorded names in the Bible were prophetic, and make a sentence that points to Jesus.  Write down the above meanings into a sentence, and see if it makes sense to you.

In writing a prophecy regarding the birth of Jesus, Isaiah records five significant names and roles that Jesus would fulfil.  What do these names tell us about Jesus, and which characteristics stand out the most to you? Isaiah 9:6

What is the significance of the name of Jesus in relation to our salvation? Matthew 1:21

Review the names and activities of people in Jesus’ family tree.  What do they tell us about Jesus and the salvation He freely offers to us? Matthew 1:1-17

What is the significance of the name Immanuel, and how does it relate to you in your everyday life and activities?  Matthew 1:23
